Many people face problem with brightnes control gui or brightness control keys in linux, I have finally found a perfectly working solution. It works with any window manager and any desktop environment on any linux distribution. Just follow these simple commands:

1. Find out all the connected monitors to your system!
xrandr -q | grep "connected"

2. Idntify your output device/ monitor and change the brightness level of required monitor according your desire. The brightnress value lies between 0 - 1 where 0 is the minimum brightness and 1 is the maximum brightness of your system.
xrandr --output *output screen name* --brightness *brightness value*

Here in my case my output screen is eDP-1 and i am changing its brightness to 50% i.e, o.5.
